Alexa Guard can help you protect your home – it uses the built-in microphone on your Echo devices to watch for signs of break-in when you’re not home. To turn it on, say “Alexa, I’m leaving” and turn it off with “Alexa, I’m leaving. home.” You can customize how it works through Alexa mobile application. At the bottom of the screen, tap More, then Settings, then Guardians. Then tap on button at the top of the screen to set up Guard features such as controlling your lights, making dog barking sounds and much more.

Activate the MyPetDoc skill and use it to get answers to pet health questions from an automated veterinary AI. After activating the skill in the Alexa Skill Library, say “Alexa, launch My Pet Doc” and answer the questions to explain your pet’s symptoms. You have the option to connect with a veterinarian (for a fee).
Tips for choosing wine
If you don’t know wine well, activate the “Wine Pairing” skill in the Alexa Skill Library and then ask, for example, “Alexa, ask Wine Pairing for a wine that goes with lasagna. You’ll usually have a few options and you’ll even know what price range you’re in.
Use Alexa as a drop-in intercom.
You can use the drop-in to call another Alexa device. Just like an intercom, the call will start immediately so you can talk to someone in another room. You will need to enable Drop-In before you can use it. To do this, open Alexa mobile app and tap More, then Settings, then Communications, then Advanced Features. slide through button to activate the feature. Then you can call another room saying, “Alexa, come to [the kitchen].”
Control your Xbox
Thanks to Xbox skill, you can control your Xbox with your voice. Activate the Xbox Skill in the Alexa Skill Library and connect to the console by signing in with your Microsoft account. There are many commands you can give your Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S. To get an idea, say, “Alexa, ask Xbox what I can say.”
