3. Outlook conflict
The Outlook app on Windows 10 is known to cause all kinds of problems with iCloud, including the constant nagging for the password. If you are not using Outlook, delete it from the Start menu by right-clicking on it. You can also uninstall an app from Control Panel> Programs> Programs and Features
If you are using Outlook and iCloud on the same computer, don’t run the former with administrator privileges. You can also switch to a guest user account to check if iCloud still asks for the password. A guest user account on Windows 10 does not have administrator rights.
Open iCloud and turn off the Mail, Contacts, Calendars and Tasks option. That will stop syncing these items between Outlook and iCloud.
You can also disable the iCloud add-on in the Outlook app to remove the password dialog. Open Outlook and go to Options under the File menu.
Under the Add-ins tab, check if iCloud Outlook add-in is present or not under the active application add-ins. If so, select the COM add-ins option at the bottom and click Go.
You can disable the iCloud Outlook add-in or even remove it completely from the right sidebar menu. I recommend that you turn it off and on again, and if that doesn’t work then remove it.
4. Logout, restart and login
Open iCloud and sign out of your account. The option is available at the bottom left of that window. Restart your computer once and then log back in.

5. Change the Apple password
You can change your password on your iPhone. Open Settings> [your name] > Password and security> Change password.
You can also change your password on the Apple website. You should see the option to reset the password or the forgotten password on the login page.
6. Run as administrator
Maybe the iCloud does not have administrator privileges and so it repeatedly asks for password verification. Right-click on the iCloud icon or search for it in the Start menu and select Run as administrator.
After that, check if iCloud still asks for the password.
7. Try the older version of iCloud
While new updates are always good because they entail features and bug patches, they can also cause compatibility issues and errors. Try an older version of iCloud and see if that fixes the problem.
8. Windows 7 Compatibility Mode
Running an older version of iCloud or even the latest version in Windows 7 compatibility mode seems to work for some users. To do this, you need to delete the iCloud you installed from Microsoft Store and download it directly from the link below. Right-click on the iCloud icon in the Start menu to select the Delete option.
Download iCloud from the link below and double click to start the installation process. Right-click the iCloud icon in the Start menu and select Open File Location.

10. Clean boot and safe mode
Microsoft support personnel recommend a clean boot and running the computer in safe mode. You do each step one by one to find out if there is a software or app conflict or not.
11. Another Apple ID
Maybe it’s time to create a new Apple ID? I know this isn’t really a solution you’ve been looking for, but if you’ve reached this far, there doesn’t seem to be any other way.
12. Try another disc
If you are not satisfied with the above solution, you can try a different cloud storage provider. I recommend Google Drive and Dropbox. Both are great options, and you won’t go wrong with either.
